It is just 20 km from India. Janakpur is the Sub-Metropolitan City in Dhanusa District. The Climate of Janakpur is humid Sub-Tropical. The Janakpur is religiously very important to Hindus.
This Land is birth Place of Sita(Ram’s Wife). Ram is believed to be the incarnation of Lora Vishnu and Sita is believed to be the incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi.
This holy place of her marriage with Lord Ram. In the Janakpur area, there are more than seventy Ponds so it is also known as the City of Ponds. Janakapurdham is one of the best places to visit in Nepal’s Eastern Region.
